Technical Description

Summary:

We have original design method for sequence-specific DNA binding protein using PPR protein. This can provide a molecule that can be used to knock out any target gene (genome editing).

Technical advantages:

  • DNA binding module that are completely different from Zinc Finger, TALE and CRISPR systems
  • Unique domestic technology with basic patents.

PPR: Original Sequence-Specific DNA Binding Module

  • 1 protein motif (35 amino acids) binds to 1 base
  • Programable DNA sequence specificity
  • DNase fused PPR proteins can apply to genome editing.

Application Destination

  • Modification of secondary metabolite production pathways
  • Creation of genome-edited organisms of genes that cannot be targeted by existing methods

Reference Material

  • DNA BINDING PROTEIN USING PPR MOTIF, AND USE THEREOF (WO2014175284A1)
